NEW AT BLACKBIRD: BLACKBIRD KASIMIR AND MASTERMIND LIGHTERS
Got a light? Yes we do. Just in at Blackbird are our new Kasimir and Mastermind lighters. Inspired by Russian painter, Kasimir Malevich, these lighters burn hot like the flame Malevich's avant-garde art was during the deep freeze of Stalinist Russia in the late 1920's and early 1930's.
Credited for founding the Suprematist school of Russian art philosophy, he created a theoretical 'grammar' based on fundamental geometric forms; in particular, the square and the circle. Critics derided Malevich for reaching art by negating everything good and pure: love of life and love of nature. Malevich responded that art can advance and develop for art's sake alone, regardless of its pleasure saying that "art does not need us, and it never did".
Carry a little artistic revolution around with you in the form of this lighter. And if you loan it to someone for a light, make sure to get it back.
