Blackbird is now carrying the internationally renowned unisex skin care line MALIN + GOETZ. These products are only sold at their store in Chelsea (NYC), select Barney’s stores, and a handful of the best boutiques around the world. We’re the only place in Seattle where you can find MALIN + GOETZ and boy do we feel lucky.

Started in 2004, business and life partners Matthew Malin and Andrew Goetz wanted to combine experiences in cosmetics (former director of sales for Kiehls) and design (former marketing director for Vitra) to create products that were universal and efficient. The line is simple and basic, not only in packaging but in theory as well. All products are perfected in their on-site botany lab using natural fatty acids and without the use of synthetic detergents. The natural fatty acids are hydrating yet gentle, and alcohols are non-drying, which they believe is the right balance for all skin types. The idea is: people are stressed and busy, they don’t have time to hassle with thirty bottles of goo, but they still need quality. This is what makes MALIN+GOETZ’s minimalist take on beauty products superior.
