JULIAN RED - ROSE/ASPHALT

Images and colors created by artist Lisa Bandgren set the theme for Julian Red's spring-summer collection "rose/asphalt." The collection examines the contrast between lightweight cottons, modal, and silk with the raw surfaces of denim.

"Loveless" Black rose/asphalt print tee [$90]
Hoboken Nikki Sixx [$225]

The Nikki Sixx is probably one of the most unique denim items ever made. The weft (the "inner" side of the denim) is yarn-dyed pink, giving the jeans a really cool metallic/oily shine depending on what angle you look at it from. The distressing is really well done and subtle: The jeans are lightly scraped, rinsed, and marked sharply on the front pockets, the back pockets are randomly wrinkled and scratched, and the bottom legs have a wrinkle effect.

Hoboken Organic No-Wash [$190]
Made of double-ring-spun red selvage 100 percent organic denim! A lot of stretch denim jeans have a flat or look to them, but as you can see from the picture these are really "alive" and have great color and depth to them.

Lady Hoboken NY Eve [$235]
The white stitching adds some shine to these black jeans which have been stonewashed and bleached to a perfect flat grey color.
