MOTEL #1
Photo by T.MasonA common sight if you're traveling north up to our store from Seattle, the Bridge Motel in Fremont has definitely seen better years (as you can probably tell from the photo). In fact, considering all the drug use, the shady clientele, and the occasional murder, the Bridge could probably be considered the quintessential "sketchy motel."
That's probably why they're going to raze it to the ground. However, before that happens, the Bridge Motel is going to go out in a blaze of glory: It is the first event in the three-part Motel series of site-specific performance art pieces. This Saturday, over twenty-two artists will turn the various nooks and crannies of the Bridge into beautiful spectacles.
