RAMDANE TOUHAMI
Blackbird is one of the only stores in the United States carrying select pieces from maverick Parisian designer Ramdane Touhami.
In Paris and Tokyo, Touhami is a renowned art director and fashion designer. These are just a few of his notable projects: In 1996 he founded the first French skate brand, King Size. In 2001 he served as the director for the re-design and re-launch of the famous Tokyo boutique, And A. Finally, last year Touhami collaborated with the Black Panthers on a project for their 40th anniversary.
He has many different clothing labels, and you can read up on all of them on Touhami's crazy personal website, which, according to our buyers Leah and Nicole, pretty much sums up what meeting him in person is like. As you can see here, R.T. showed right after Dior Homme during this year's Paris menswear Spring 2007 catwalk. Quite prestigious.
