SPRING COURT

The first Spring Court shoe was made in 1936 by Georges Grimmeisen with tennis players in mind. With their canvas upper, vulcanized rubber outsole, and previously unheard of (in a tennis shoe, anyway) comfort, the shoes were an instant hit. They remained unchanged until 1952 when the removable inner sole with arch support and natural ventilation system was introduced, along with the famous four holes along the sole. From then on, the basic style has remained the same.

Through the years, the shoes have gained quite a following; they became a staple for many mods in the 60s, John Lennon sported a pair on the cover of Abbey Road, and even Serge Gainsbourg did a commercial for them in 1984. Today, still, many actors and musicians are continuously seen wearing the iconic sneakers.

Right now we have the Mid Cut Nappa available in two colorways and more styles are on the way.
