OBEDIENT SONS

"Like a country gentleman venturing into town for his beloved theatre, the Obedient Sons man is presently concerned with formality, presentation, and reasonable functionality. For the 2007 Autumn/Winter collection, Obedient Sons presents Black Mountain, a view on men's formalwear-goes-outdoors."

Black Mountain takes its name from a small town in North Carolina, the actual birth state of Obedient Sons designer Swaim Hutson. This 13th Collection, Black Mountain, draws inspiration from Black Mountain College, the legendary artistic refuge.

Social formality and Black Mountain College academia influenced design details, and are both tailored and integrated into the collection. The range is complete with plaid button-downs, pleated high-waisted pants, Merino wool heavy-ribbed sweaters, Morning coats, Wool and leather bomber jackets. Fabricated from Austrian and Italian wools, cotton shirting, leather, textured wool blends and waxed cotton, Obedient Sons pushes a textured, layered look for styling."
