DIET BUTCHER SLIM SKIN FW08 'EROSION'

Diet Butcher Slim Skin's fw08 collection, 'Erosion', was shown in mid April and it is a doozy. As was explained to us during our trip to Tokyo in March, this collection brings out the "dark side" of DBSS. This collection is intended as a journey into the mind of Fukatami-san, the designer of the brand, and seems to be a very personal one. The collection uses several amazing dying techniques which lend a hand towards the general sense of erosion. In particular, some of the key pieces are hand dyed in Kyoto using a batik technique specific to the area (called rouketsu zome / ろうけつ染め) which creates a truly amazing effect. Keep an eye out for deliveries to begin around June or July.
