Vintage Vuarnet Sunglasses are in! Vuarnet began making sunglasses in the 1960's, and became well-known internationally by the 80's. Vuarnet glasses became especially well-known amongst athletic circles because of their special mineral glass and advanced design (check out this article for more about the history and technology behind Vuarnet). Hence, the expression "It's a Vuarnet Day today!" began, referring to especially sunny ski days.
The following pair of deadstock vintage Vuarnet sunglasses is available in red and blue (both shown). They are made in France and their lenses feature 100% UV protection and an inside anti-reflective coating.
