"Emerging from shows with Daniel Johnston and a national tour with Sic Alps and Ty Segall, Thee Oh Sees live shows are gritty, yet magnetic and infective. The band seems oblivious about their rock star performances, appearing rather as modest dilettantes in attitude, though Dwyer’s huge “THANKS” written in masking tape on the back of his guitar and Petey Dammit’s “YOU’S GUY’S” on the back of his, could evident they are tongue-in-cheek yet not so abnegative."
