INTRODUCING: CREEP BY HIROSHI AWAI
Creep was founded in Osaka, Japan in 1997. Hiroshi Awai took the reigns as creative director in 2008, and since then he's been combining his love of functional American workwear and innovative Japanese design to create collections that are whimsical, unique, and beautifully designed.Fall/Winter 2009's Old-West-mountain-man-meets-modern-society aesthetic presents the amalgamation of old-timey feel and modern fabrication and is at once enjoyable to look at and absolutely wearable. We love Hiroshi's wonderful attention to detail and inspired fabric choices, and we're excited to be able to showcase his designs here at Blackbird. Creep - Band Collar Linen Shirtin navy and white
DETAILS: 100% linen striped band collar shirt with wood buttons. This casual Sunday morning shirt is just right with your comfy pants and coffee. It's light enough to wear with a sweater or as a sweater substitute, and its easy artist vibe makes it a mellow addition to your casual wardrobe. DETAILS: 50% wool, 35% acrylic, 15% polyester herringbone waistcoat with 100% cotton lining and back and wood buttons. This thoughtfully made vest features a curved notch lapel, two small buttoned chest pockets, flap pockets, a subtle ticket pocket on the front, and a striped, cream-colored cotton back. Pair it with one of Creep's unique blazers or wear it over a rolled up Gitman Vintage or Band of Outsiders button-down and Tellason jeans like our salesguy, Jon.

DETAILS: 50% wool, 35% acrylic, 15% polyester herringbone pants with 100% cotton lining and wood buttons. These hunting style pants are cut with a relaxed fitting hip and thigh and tapered at the calf, producing a classic outdoorsman silhouette. Pair them with a Pendleton Field Shirt over a Band of Outsiders oxford and Creep by Hiroshi Awai's Hunting Vest to get the Teddy-Roosevelt-goes-to-Yellowstone thing going on.

DETAILS: 100% wool hunting vest with wood buttons and cotton liner. Vintage-inspired and great for fall layering, this piece is easy to try with the season's Americana classics. Add a tie and a wool blazer and you're off for a weekend in the country. In Seattle, we like it with a RVCA flannel and jeans too.
