BACK IN BLACK - THREE AMAZING CANDLES FROM CIRE TRUDON (AND THEN SOME…)

Good News: Three of our favorite Cire Trudon candles are now back in stock at Blackbird Apothecary. For those noses in the know, Ernesto, Roi Soleil, and Spiritus Sancti have long been some of our best sellers, and you know, we've spent a lot of time extolling their virtues on our blog and in the store (where you can find them currently).

That said, we can't help but feel like some of you might be missing out on some amazing olfactory experiences offered by the rest of the Cire Trudon lineup. Three Summer candle recommendations:

CIRE TRUDON - DADA
NOTES: Named for the artistic movement no doubt, this tricky little guy is deliberately confusing, possessive of many distinguishable currents of fragrances, each with the propensity to disappear from the forefront of the composition as quickly as you've detected it. With strong notes of tea, vetiver, eucalyptus—and God knows what else—Dada will lend it's lively and varied character to any room in your home.
$79

CIRE TRUDON - BALMORAL
NOTES: The smell of resplendent meadows and sweet soil under a delicate veil of Summer mist. Placed on your bedside table or dresser, this candle creates for you the experience of a soft Summer morning outdoors, in the quiet hours before the sun burns away the haze of dawn. Yeah, it's that serious, dudes (enough to make you write some poetry or something…)
$79

CIRE TRUDON - ODEUR DE LUNE
NOTES: Yes, you did read that correctly, amateur francophones of The Internet—this candle is the conjectural smell of the moon. Certainly the most polarizing of the Cire Trudon line, this bizarre scent isn't so scary once you know what's in it. Constituents include black coal, smoked wood, and a dusty metallic halo derived from substances reported in NASA's geological survey data conducted on the moon. Whimsical as it may seem, this candle is redolent of nights out by the campfire in the backyard, sleeping warmly in a sleeping bag and staring at the stars (and of course at our big old geosynchronous satellite in the sky.)
$79

A parting note: You don't even have to burn these babies to feel their presence. Simply place an uncovered Cire Trudon candle in a room, and you'll soon be enveloped in a not-so-imperceptible mantle of summertime smell-good stuff. Everybody nose!
