Blackbird Hazlewood jeans only get better with age! Check out this pair of original Hazlewoods, modeled for us by the obliging Brian Coyne. Brian dropped by the shop today looking for a new pair of boots, but all we could talk about was how great his Hazlewoods looked.

Brian, local musician and friendly fellow, told us he has had this pair of jeans for nearly two years, and has only washed them once! That is the way it is done, dear readers.

DETAILS: Meet Blackbird's newest in-house designed jean, the Hazlewood in Japanese Nep Denim. This denim has neps in it which cause a slightly uneven texture and little white dots throughout. This jean was inspired by Ballard bar Hazlewood (think Lee Hazlewood) and its owner Drew Church. A few years ago, Drew created a Blackbird cocktail which contains squid ink and remains a staple drink to-date. Hazlewood is about the size of a postage stamp and generally where you will find the Blackbird gang and our favorite customers sipping old-timey inspired creations. MADE IN U.S.A., 5-Pocket jean, raw 13 oz. Japanese Nep denim in extra dark indigo, dirty dark brown/gold stitching, all black unbranded hardware, extra tough over-stitched belt loops, chain-stitched hem in varied lengths sizes: 29 - 36 (32 and 34 lengths) Sizing recommendations: Fits true to size. Size down if you prefer a slimmer fit. If you are familiar with the Hazlewood, these have a more straight leg.
