You know when the nuclear holocaust happens and everything on the planet dies and nothing will grow for hundreds of years? And then centuries later a lucky survivor gets to bear witness to the first baby green sprout poking its leaves out of the decimated land, like a shining beacon of hope? That's how we feel right now.
After five years we finally feel like we have a collection. It started with a pair of jeans that we simply couldn't keep in stock and has grown year over year to go beyond your wardrobe to lifestyle products like our incense pyres and beard oil. We produce most of our products ourselves in Seattle or else here in the USA to keep costs down and keep our dollars local. This has been a labor of love for the Blackbird team and we are taking this moment to share this triumph with our fans.

Black Square Jean
Made from a raw 13.5 oz Cone Mills bright blue denim with a black cast, creating a beautifully rich shade of indigo. Features include dirty dark brown/gold stitching, all black unbranded hardware, an unbranded leather black square patch on the back, extra tough overstitched belt loops, a chain stitched hem, deep front pockets, and very thin minimal stitching on the back pockets. The fit is an update to the classic Hazlewood. The Black Square Jean has a little bit more room in the hips and legs.

We find the fabric is much softer than the average oxford cloth, and like how the fabric color varies between lighter and darker shades of blue and into streaks of white.
