Come get your party on Spring Break style at the Black Box Spring Break Party. We’re tired of this crummy weather so we’ve teamed up to celebrate Spring whether or not Portland is ready for it!Blackbird will be hosting an old fashion Kissing Booth! $5 gets you a smooch on the cheek, $1 for hugs. All proceeds will be going to The Pixie Project (a local animal rescue and adoption charity). Blackbird is also encouraging everyone to come stop by the store in their best "Blackbird Spring Break Outfit", they will be taking photos and posting the best outfits on their Blog. They will also be open late!
Solestruck will be kicking off their new pop up with Saltwater Gypsy Vintage & Tnemnroda Jewelry. The sale item of today is the Down Parka by Hope. This jacket has been produced by Hope for several seasons. DETAILS: Made of 100% cotton Cone Mills white oaks 13.5 oz selvage denim that is sewn together and washed in Los Angeles, these jeans are made completely within the borders of North America. Inseam is approximately 34.5". These jeans will stretch slightly after wearing a few times.

Mozart learned voraciously from others, and developed a brilliance and maturity of style that encompassed the light and graceful along with the dark and passionate. His influence on subsequent Western art music is profound. Beethoven wrote his own early compositions in the shadow of Mozart, and Joseph Haydn wrote that "posterity will not see such a talent again in 100 years."
Pollock's most famous paintings were made during the "drip period" between 1947 and 1950. He rocketed to popular status following an August 8, 1949 four-page spread in Life magazine that asked, "Is he the greatest living painter in the United States?" At the peak of his fame, Pollock abruptly abandoned the drip style.
He often contributed to the scripts of his films, under unusual pseudonyms such as "Otis Criblecoblis", which contains an embedded homophone for "scribble"; and "Mahatma Kane Jeeves", a play on mahatma and on a phrase an aristocrat might use when about to leave the house: "My hat, my cane, Jeeves." In other features he is reported to have written or improvised more or less all of his own dialogue and material, leaving story structure to other writers.

DETAILS: This 100% cotton tank is a great example of how Hansen reworks classic garments. Features a raised texture with a pattern of stripes and dots. Soft and heavy weight. This makes a great fall or winter layer under dress shirts or sweaters.
Blackbird - Vim Beget Hazlewood Jeans

DETAILS: Blackbird and Vim Beget teamed up to create a run of re-purposed Stolen Black Hazlewoods. The denim has been faded and then waxed with a mix of beeswax and paraffin wax. The pockets are distressed along the edges. The jeans include a keychain made from a re-purposed sailing shackle and kidskin leather strap, which hangs from the right belt loop. Due to the treatment, these jeans are running a size small, so we recommend you buy a size larger.

DETAILS: This 100% sheep leather jacket from Won Hundred is soft to the touch. Fully lined for extra warmth and constructed with three interior pockets, one of which has a zipper closure. Luxurious and lightweight, this is a wonderful layering shirt that pairs well with jeans or slacks. Made in Japan.

DETAILS: 100% cotton pants with a built in D ring belt, zipper and button closure. Front welt pockets feature pipping detail and back welt pocket is finished in leather. Sampling a different whiskey from the great Northwest every other Tuesday, we are happily continuing the event that made its successful debut last month. Now available at our Blackbird Portland store is a selection of world famous Le Chameau boots. Since 1927, Le Chameau have always been at the forefront of vulcanized rubber boot technology and have been creating all-weather boots for generations of Europeans. Supreme arch support, a secret house blend of all natural rubber, thick, full-grain leather linings from Italian tanneries, and form-fitting custom calf sizes are just some of what's come to be expected in this French-made brand that has only recently begun to market their wares in the U.S.
The rainboot is one of the most fashionable outdoor items you can wear.
