Vandalist was launched in 2006 by Vandal (Heemin Yang) in Seoul, Korea. Vandal takes the concept of Vandalism, or creative destruction, as the underlying aesthetic of his brand. Vandalist offers affordable uniqueness, style and wit, a playful formality, and a focused re-imagining of the past. Yang graduated with a degree in Clothing and Textiles at Yonsei University and is also an accomplished musician who creates and plays his own catwalk music.

Seoul Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012 wrapped up last weekend but we still have some more photos and videos to post of our favorite collections.

Vandalist by Vandal is already well-loved by us here at Blackbird and this collection reminded us why. The gentle, voluminous proportions were a welcome alternative to so many aggressive lines or presentations that we see.

VANDALIST BY VANDAL: A WHOLE 'NOTHER WORLD

American photographer, Jerry Uelsmann was born in Detroit Michigan on June 11, 1934. His interest in photography sparked in high school and he used his camera to exist outside of himself in other realms. To this day Uelsmann creates all of his images in darkrooms, no Photoshop, no digital whoop-dee-do, just a true mastery of his analog medium.
