WON HUNDRED JEANS
Nikolaj Nielsen quit school at sixteen to join the fashion business, and after stints at Sixty and Diesel, founded the Copenhagen-based brand, Won Hundred. Though it originally focused entirely upon denim and streetwear, Won Hundred began producing full ready to wear collections in 2005 after Nielsen partnered with Pernille Schwartz, a graduate of Designkolen Kolding, an elite design school in Denmark.
Refinery29 posted a terrific feature on the brand a month ago.
Denim is still the building block of each Won Hundred collection, and the reverence for the material and cut of jeans is evident in these "Petra Blue" jeans from the brand's A/W 2007 collection. They have an amazing fit, especially when it comes to the consideration paid to the tapering of the legs, giving the silhouette a perfect "comfortably tight" feel. Further items from Won Hundred will be posted on the blog shortly!
