THE FIELD HOUSE: FREE CLASS THIS SUNDAY

HAND SPINNING FOR FUN AND FIBER
DECEMBER 13TH - 4PM

Do you love the feel of luxury yarn? Are you intrigued by the array of beautiful handmade items available and wish you knew how to create them yourself? Hand Spinning for Fun and Fiber will get you started creating and designing your own yarn using simple practices that have been around for thousands of years. Discover the soothing and addictive (in a good way!) craft of hand spinning.

Participants will gain resources about spinning, receive basic instruction on how to get started, familiarize themselves with different types of fiber and their origins, and try spinning with a drop spindle!

This class will be taught by Amy Hale, a fiber artist that received her B.A. in Fine and Applied Arts. She has over 20 years experience as an educator and Director of informal education programming for children and adults.

We are super excited to have her at The Field House for this hands on workshop. Please join us.

Classes are on a first come basis but you can drop by the store early on Sunday (on your way to the market and such) and secure your place on a list. Maximum class size is 15 and classes last 15 - 60 minutes and occur every Sunday at 4pm. Please check the blog for weekly details or be sure to stop in and join The Field House mailing list if you would like to be notified via email of all upcoming classes. If you have a class you would like to see offered or a class you would like to teach, please drop by or email us at thefieldhouse@blackbirdballard.com.
