OOPS! WE FORGOT TO TELL YOU THAT PRIA SCARVES ARRIVED LAST MONTH

LANIFICIO ALFREDO PRIA SCARVES
Since 1824 Pria has been making fabrics and, in handling their materials, those hundreds of years of study shows. The original factory was built at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, reaching across the Cervo River in order to use the water flow for power purposes. Over the years the factory was expanded to both sides of the bank as well as additional floors added, all in the sake of producing their lovely fabrics. By World War II they were employing more than 1,000 workers and as they gained popularity, produced fabrics for brands such as Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Dior.

As the 1990s came to a close and fabrics made in China became more and more prevalent, the original factory unfortunately closed to production. Guido Azario, owner and relative to the founder, continues to live in the factory and dedicates an area to historical books full of patterns and specialized knowledge on making fabrics.

While the original factory is no longer producing fabrics, Pria continues to create out of a younger, although already well established, factory; Ma.Al.Bi (Manifatture Alto Biellese). These scarves show nearly 200 years of consideration and knowledge.
