BIDEN ANNOUNCES: DREAM OF THE 90's IS ALIVE IN PORTLAND - BLACKBIRD PORTLAND (Summer 2011)

Today Vice-President Biden announced a 53 billion dollar plan to develop high speed rail around the USA and one of those locations is Seattle to Portland.  Just in time for our official announcement.

Today, I am more than excited to announce Blackbird Portland, my first non-Ballard location. This new store will open early Summer 2011 on W. Burnside and NW 13th Ave. two blocks from the Ace Hotel. The building is being renovated currently to create 6 retail locations very similar to our current Ballard location in architecture and neighborhood appeal. This new store will be only 600 sq. ft. total (small) to include a back-stock/office area, two dressing rooms and a cash wrap.

The big question everyone is asking is what brands will you sell in the new store. All I can say is, "not Portland brands". To me Portland doesn't need another Pendleton outlet, so you can expect a lot of our own Blackbird label and our more seriously design driven brands like Robert Geller and Rick Owens.
