BOIS 1920 - CLASSIC 1920
DETAILS: The initial notes of this scent remind me vaguely of Hinoki's crisp cedar note accented by thyme and turpentine, replaced in Classic 1920 by lemon, and basil. This top note, which is exceptionally clean without overbearing on the nose with overwhelming citrus zest, fades majestically into a glorious chypre blend. Haitian Vetiver plays an important role, not to be outdone by the subtle lavender, apricot, and floral bouquet, touched up with pimento and nutmeg. Of course there's also the Chinese citron and bergamot, which provide the citrus heart to the body of this scent. And to top it all off, the coup de grace, Antilles sandalwood with notes of amber, ambregris, and musk.
