A.P.C. - Gabardine Camo Parka

DETAILS: This is a military parka made of heavyweight 100% cotton gabardine that features a spring-toned camo print. The cut is straight and slightly big. The hood adjusts with metal-tipped drawstrings. Other features include a buttoned tab at wrist, piped diagonal chest pockets and front flap patch pockets. Though inspired by various military parka styles of the past, this one is tweaked and ready for both the present and the future.

DETAILS: This 100% cotton light brown corduroy trouser features a narrow leg that is slightly fitted at bottom to give the appearance of a straight leg. DETAILS: This light brown corduroy jacket pays tribute to the iconic Lee 101-J denim jacket in all the right ways. ARTIST TO ARTIST: APC VS. CARL SANDBURG

A.P.C. is a French ready-to-wear brand, founded in 1988 by the Tunisian born Designer Jean Touitou. A.P.C. stands for 'Atelier de Production et de Creation' and is known for its clean-cut and minimalist nature, as well as simple, chic, and modern design, with military over-tones. The brand makes great use of denim and high quality fabrics. The quality of Touitou's fabrics are matched by a similar dedication to ensuring his designs fit appropriately.

Carl Sandburg (1878 - 1967) was an American poet, historian, novelist, and folklorist. Sandburg tried many occupations and fought in the Spanish-American War before moving to Chicago in 1913, where he worked in journalism. He won recognition in 1914 with poems, including “Chicago,” perhaps his best-known, published in Poetry magazine. His Whitman-esque free verse eulogizing American workers appeared in such volumes as Smoke and Steel (1920) and The People, Yes (1936). What follows are two early poems by Sandburg, from his book Cornhuskers.

DETAILS: All leather derby shoe is dark navy. These beautiful shoes have a rounded toe with four eyelets and crisp dark woven laces. The upper is composed of three main sections. One wrapping from the heel around the outside of the toe and around again to the inside. The second panel runs along the inside from the heel to the middle meeting the first panel. The third is the tongue of the shoe. A one inch dark brown sole is the perfect complitment to the navy leather upper.
