NUANCES OF JULIUS

We here at Blackbird are one of the only stores—if not the only—in Seattle that carries pieces by Julius, designed by one Mr. Tatsuro Horikawa. We found this article on a tip from one of our salesman—Nico—and it's well worth reading if you're familiar with Horikawa's work. Even if you're not, read up and stop by the 'bird for a firsthand peek at some of this stuff in our new "Top Secret Upstairs Store." It's as practical and wearable as it is strange and idiosyncratic—a confluence of the anomalous and familiarity.

JULIUS 317ACU15 FOREARM GLOVES

I came across this picture of a guy looking great decked out in Julius on the Japanese street snap website Rid (direct link to the picture here). In addition to the very-much-coveted fall/winter 2008 coat he has on, he is also wearing the very cool and unique forearm gloves which we currently have in stock in either black or gray. I love that a few simple pieces can so easily achieve such an intense and striking look.
