NEW JACK SPADE - SPRING '08

This season we ordered Jack Spade bags in four of their new fabrics. Along with some tried-and-true styles like the Slim Turnpike and the Bale Case, we brought in some of their great new styles: the Carryall Tote, Flat Utility Bag, and Dock Bag are just some of the new additions to the Jack Spade gang. See below for measurements and details.

Luggage Gabardine (navy)
This clean, sleek fabric is an all-season Italian wool treated with Teflon coating for stain and abrasion resistance - so you can be tough on your bag and keep it looking new. The material is also backed with a polyurethane coating for water resistance. These bags are detailed with a handsome chocolate brown leather trim, custom diecast hardware, and blue cotton herringbone linings.

DETAILS: This style has a top zipper closure, leather handles, and a removable shoulder strap. The interior features a zipper pocket, envelope pocket, and organizing pockets. The bottom exterior is reinforced with chocolate brown leather.

DETAILS: Flat Utility Bag features secure velcro closure, leather top handles, and removable shoulder strap. It has an exterior slip pocket and two exterior zipper pockets, while the interior contains organizing pockets, one zipper pocket, and a mesh bottle pocket.

Tent Cloth (British khaki)
The rich terra cotta color of this fabric gives it a subtle but special look that we fell in love with. The double facing duck canvas is treated for stain and moisture resistance, with a British khaki exterior and green interior. Detailed with chocolate brown leather trim and custom brass hardware.

Crown Twill (grey)
The color and texture of this grey cotton twill really makes the look of these bags. It is a 22 ounce cotton twill, treated with paraffin, giving it a great finish and water resistance. All styles have a chocolate-colored waxwear sleigh bottom for added durability, with chocolate bridle leather trim, custom die cast hardware, and a military ripstop lining backed with PVC.

DETAILS: The bale case has a hidden snap closure, adjustable shoulder strap, exterior back pocket, and exterior front pocket under flap. The interior is streamlined with a single zippered pocket and organizing pockets.

Cordura (grey)

The purple trim and orange deck cloth lining of this style makes it colorful but tasteful. This is a 600 denier cordura nylon, treated with Scotchguard to be stain and water resistant. Deck Cloth lining prevent water seepage, making the bag impervious to moisture.

DETAILS: This messenger bag is especially long, perfect for carrying needs and a great shape for bikers. Pockets include an exterior velcro back pocket and interior zippered pocket, as well as interior velcro pocket. Adjustable shoulder strap.

Suits Are Back!

With all the talk about men's suiting this last year, few Northwest men have bought into dressing up for work and play. Things are about to change. According to the press, suits are back and according to Blackbird, our men are buying.

To back up this trend, the September issue of Details magazine features a fantastic four page spread (pg 302-305) on four modern men's suiting looks. The September issue of GQ (pg 340-347) features a fun and detailed article on suit buying, complete with lots of pictures and a 10-step, fool-proof program.
